Wired
Whether it’s fitting out a new office with multiple sockets terminating in a patch panel or network cabinet, or extending a cable from your router to a different room in your house to resolve the kids gaming issues. Physical cables and RJ45 sockets are far more reliable and generally supply a consistently faster and stable connection than wifi. We only install quality CAT6 cable and sockets (unless CAT5e is required). We have both internal and external grade in stock at all times and carry a large quantity of sockets and back boxes to carry-out work immediately. However, running cables can sometimes be ugly or simply not economically viable. In these situations, wifi and mesh are the way forward.
WiFi
Wifi can sometimes become laggy or patchy in parts of your house or office. Te remedy this, we can either completely overhaul your existing wifi provision or ‘bolt-on’ some improvements to the kit you already have. The fabric of your house and the local environment can sometimes have a severe adverse affect on reception and throughput. If you have strange goings-on, we can pop along and assess the area and carry out a wireless survey if required.
Mesh
Wireless mesh networking (or whole-home wifi) is a relatively new concept which uses multiple wifi repeaters to increase the range of wifi in your building. Essentially, 2 or 3 carefully positioned units can often give you 100% coverage with the benefit of being able to add-on additional units if and when necessary.
Switches and Routers
We not only run cables and install wifi, but we fit and configure all major brands of switchgear and routers. So if you’re trying to set up a secure VPN for office access, you have some routing or VLAN issues, or you are upgrading your core network switches – we can help!
